“Young Frankenstein” is arguably one of Mel Brooks’s greatest pictures. It was released in 1974 in black and white and starred Gene Wilder, Teri Garr, Cloris Leachman, Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle and Madeline Kahn. It was a critical and box office success.
The film was a parody of classic horror films, hence it being filmed in B&W and using many of the same conventions of the films from that earlier era. It even used many of the same props that were used in the 1931 version of “Frankenstein.”
So I have a very vintage piece of “Young Frankenstein” history to present here. It’s the Pressbook from the films original release. I direct you to this posting HERE where I explained in detail what a Pressbook was used for.
