They told us the last of the new “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” episodes went up on Netflix earlier in the year. They lied. The last four episodes are up at Starwars.com – sort of. And by that, I mean they are the complete stories for a four episode arc involving Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. The only thing is the animation isn’t totally complete. These are the Rough Cut Story Reels. They were put together in order to get final approval by George Lucas before they hit the animation stage.
But none of the rough animation distracted me. There is enough there to enjoy them as complete episodes.
As for the series as a whole, I actually enjoyed “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” way more than I ever thought I would. It was far better than the actual prequels and remained pretty entertaining and engaging throughout. There were definitely some silly clunkers here and there, but no more than any other television program.
So since the Star Wars site has messed up their embedding code for these episodes, I can’t add them here. You’ll have to head on over to their SITE (CLICK HERE) to view them. And because all four episodes are part of one long story arc, I found myself immediately clicking to the next episode. I recommend you check these out. I thought the episodes were really good and the interaction between Obi-Wan and Anakin was a lot of fun.
UPDATE * The episodes are also currently posted on YouTube so I embedded them below. If they end up getting pulled, just go to the Star Wars link listed above to view them.
