Well it’s time to turn another Disney attraction into a motion picture. It worked well with “Pirates of the Caribbean” so why not “Tomorrowland?” And if the movie is as good as the trailers (which is always sort of a crapshoot), then I’d say they may have another hit on their hands. And god knows that Disney needs a hit right now. All they have going for them is Marvel, Star Wars, soon-to-be Indiana Jones, and something recently called “Big Hero 6.”
But seriously, with Brad Bird (The Incredibles ) behind the wheel, I have no doubt this will be a fun ride.
The Disney website says this… “From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s riveting, mystery adventure “Tomorrowland,” starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.
Featuring a screenplay by “Lost” writer & co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, from a story by Damon Lindelof & Brad Bird & Jeff Jensen, “Tomorrowland” promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of.”
The movie hits cinemas on May 22nd. Both trailers below contain different scenes.
