Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the new “Star Trek” movie entitled “Star Trek Beyond.”
The entire cast from the previous two films return for this new entry in the franchise. Joining the cast this time around is Idris Elba as the primarily villain and Sofia Boutella in an unknown alien role.
Not much is known of the plot at this point, but after viewing the trailer it seems as if the Enterprise sustains major damage and the crew find themselves stranded on a strange alien world fighting for their lives.
Justin Lin (The Fast and the Furious Franchise) directs from a script by Simon Pegg (who also plays Scotty). The film opens July 22, 2016.
