Universal Pictures just unveiled the trailer for “Ted 2.”  I thought the first one was hilarious so I can only hope that Seth McFarlane brings more of the same funny to its sequel.  That’s “Ted” funny and not “A Million Ways to Die in the West” funny, which I didn’t find funny at all.  That was a disappointing picture.  But back to “Ted 2” now.

It’s Official Site says:  Seth MacFarlane returns as writer, director and voice star of TED 2, Universal and Media Rights Capital’s follow-up to the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time. Joined once again by star Mark Wahlberg and fellow TED writers Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild, MacFarlane produces the live action/CG-animated comedy alongside Bluegrass Films’ Scott Stuber, as well as Jason Clark and John Jacobs.

As for plot, IMDB says: Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn (his girlfriend from the first film) want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law.

Returning for (or joining) this journey are Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane, Amanda Seyfried, Jessica Barth, John Slattery, and Morgan Freeman.  No Mila Kunis?  Apparently MacFarlane wanted to mix it up a bit so Seyfried replaces her.  A bit disappointing considering the first film focused so much on her and Wahberg’s relationship, but if the film is as funny as the first, I think I will be able to look past it.

The film hits cinemas on June 26, 2015.
