“Saturday Night Live” Marvel Parody Starring Chris Pratt (Video)

Marvel's Star Wars Starring Chris PrattChris Pratt served as host on Saturday Night Live’s 40th season opener last night (Sep. 27, 2014). As always, the show was pretty painful to watch. In terms of cutting edge comedy, SNL is far behind the times and stuck in some kind of vanilla factory. It’s too safe and catered. The show needs a shake up from top to bottom, and then, and only then do I believe it could turn into something magnificently hilarious. It needs to lead the way once again. And, yes, of course they hit gold from time to time. If they didn’t, the show wouldn’t still be on the air. But let’s face it, the bad does outweigh the good.

Watch New Unaired Episodes of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Right Now

Star Wars The Clone Wars Title CardThey told us the last of the new “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” episodes went up on Netflix earlier in the year. They lied. The last four episodes are up at Starwars.com – sort of. And by that, I mean they are the complete stories for a four episode arc involving Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. The only thing is the animation isn’t totally complete. These are the Rough Cut Story Reels. They were put together in order to get final approval by George Lucas before they hit the animation stage.

R.I.P. Stern Show’s ‘Eric the Actor’

Eric the Actor and Howard SternI’ve been listening to Howard Stern since 1997. Probably one of the only reasons I have Sirius Radio is so I can occasionally tune him in. Though I don’t consider myself a super fan, I have found myself greatly entertained by him over the years. But this article isn’t about Howard Stern. It’s about one of the members of his Wack Pack (essentially a group of misfits that have become recurring guests on his show over the years).

Time Heist – Doctor Who Extra: Series 1 Episode 5

Doctor Who Extra Title Card“Time Heist” is Peter Capaldi’s fifth episode in as the new Doctor. His run of episodes is definitely getting better, but I still feel as if something is missing from this season. It just doesn’t seem as much fun as the previous seasons. And I don’t know why.   As I mentioned previously, maybe it’s just time to change up companions. Maybe mix up the chemistry a bit with some new blood.

Avoiding Cylons with a Vintage “Battlestar Galactica” 1978 TV Guide Article

Battlestar GalacticaBears… Beets… Battlestar Galactica!  Frack yeah!

Long before we had Miami Vice play Commander Adama, who led a rag-tag fugitive fleet on a lonely quest to a shining planet known as Earth, we had Bonanza occupying the very same role. Or respectfully, I should say Edward James Olmos played the role more recently, but the role was originated by the now departed Lorne Greene. Greene gave a more fatherly portrayal of the overburdened Commander whereas Olmos performance was a bit more militaristically grounded and less approachable (and grumpier). And don’t get me wrong, I loved Olmos’ portrayal. He played it just perfectly for the reboot.

The Return of Bo and Luke Duke “The Dukes of Hazzard” – New Video and TV Script

The Dukes of Hazzard Title Card“The Dukes of Hazzard” ran on CBS from January 26, 1979 to February 8, 1985. It was inspired from a 1975 movie called “Moonrunners.” Both were created by Gy Waldron.

The show took place in fictional Hazzard County, Georgia and focused on the adventures of cousins Bo and Luke Duke (John Schneider and Tom Wopat) and their never-ending run-ins with corrupted county commissioner Boss Hogg (Sorrell Booke) and his crooked sidekick, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane (James Best). Along for the ride were their Uncle Jesse (Denver Pyle) and the girl with the shortest of shorts, Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach). Oh, and let’s not forget about the General Lee, their 1969 Dodge Charger stock car.
