Lorenzo Semple Jr. and the Batman Scripts

10628-lorenzo-semple-jrLorenzo Semple Jr. was a screenwriter and playwright who is probably best known for his contributions to the 1960’s campy television show “Batman”  starring Adam West as the caped crusader and Burt Ward as his trusty sidekick.  Semple helped to develop and write for the series, including penning the feature film version based on it.

Going Batty With “Batman: The Animated Series” Storyboards & Script

Batman_animated_seriesBatman: The Animated Series was first broadcast on Fox from September 1992 to September 1995.  It was the first entry in what would turn into a new DC shared continuity universe.   And it also surprisingly took on a much more adult tone.  It was a show where both kids and adults could enjoy alike.

Bryan Cranston on Playing Lex Luthor

Breaking Bad Superman vs Batman

Bryan Cranston (of “Breaking Bad” fame) was on Howard Stern’s radio program this morning to promote his new Broadway Play which begins this week (he plays former President Lyndon B. Johnson in “All the Way.”).  Of course the subjects of “Breaking Bad” and the casting rumor of him playing Lex Luthor in the new “Superman” movie came up.  And this being Stern, the topics of him getting crabs, having threesomes, and wishing death on an ex-psycho girlfriend worked its way into the conversation as well.
