Mashups are fun. There’s nothing more entertaining than taking two completely unrelated things and combining them into something new. And when two filmmakers who are in control of behemoth franchises get involved, well then Merry Christmas to us all.
And so goes the franchise mashup war between J.J. Abrams and Zack Snyder. Here are some of their recent Twitter pics they’ve shared between themselves and the world. The first three are from Snyder’s Twitter and the last one is from Bad Robots (Abrams) Twitter.
So just recently, J.J. Abrams has released this video detailing the Millennium Falcon from the new “Star Wars” pic which premieres at the end of next year. The surprise isn’t that he has released such a video this far in advance from the actual movie coming out. It’s what he has chosen to include on the Millennium Falcon. Here’s the video. I’ve also included a pic below the video highlighting the Falcon’s new edition.
So it seems the Millennium Falcon now has a Batmobile attached to it. Yes, clearly it’s a joke and a way of upping the mashup war. But it’s a good one. Wouldn’t it be funny if he kept it for the film?
And speaking of the Millennium Falcon, some new and better behind-the-scenes shots of it and some X-Wing Fighters have made their way to the web, thanks to 20minutos.es.
