So I watched the international Korean TV spot for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” the other day.  Other than one new shot, it was pretty much the same ‘ol thing they’ve given us this past year. Not that it’s bad by any means, but it got me to thinking.  I feel that ultimately these spots are lacking a bit of energy and gusto.  

So I thought I’d try my hand at a little re-editing with the footage they’ve given us so far in terms of trailers, commercials and behind the scenes footage.  And I tried to ‘theme’ it a bit.  I call it my “New Villains, Old Heroes” spot.  I just essentially asked myself ‘what do I want to see in a Star Wars advertising spot?  What would get me excited even more so to see this film?” 

All scenes in this forty-five second spot are from the film itself except for one shot that I took from elsewhere in order to complete the theme.  Like it or hate it?  Let me know what you think.
