Who would think that something as innocent as Play-Doh would undergo the wrath of parents? I loved Play-Doh as a kid. I still have Play-Doh as an adult. Play-Doh is fun. But according to some parents now, Play-Doh is just a little too sexy.

Play-Doh’s Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain playset has recently come under attack by parents because one of its pieces, the Extruder, looks very much like a males private parts. Surely, no one at Hasbro intended one of the sets main pieces to ever resemble anything so dirty. I mean… a penis, in Play-Doh? Blasphemy! I would post a comparison of both, but this site just doesn’t do dirty. We’re PG-13 dammit!

What does the Extruder tool do? Well, apparently you fill it with Play-Doh and then squeeze it through the tip and watch as it ejaculates, er, sprays, er, releases, er, it just comes out and spreads all over the cake.

In response to the parent’s protests, Play-Doh released the following statement:

“We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool. Should any consumer want a replacement extruder for this item, they can contact Hasbro’s Customer Service Department at 800-327-8264.”

Well, it seems they went a step further than just replacing a simple tool. It appears they reworked the entire Cake Mountain playset by removing the sex elements and adding some political motifs. They later released the following brief statement:

“Kids can’t be kids forever. We hope you enjoy Cake Mountain’s replacement playset.”

The new playset is called Play-Doh’s Sweet Shoppe Dictator Cake Mountain with a Play-Doh version of Kim Jong-un perched on top of the cake with a couple of North Korean nukes surrounding it. And their new slogan for the playset – “We replaced a dildo with a dic.”

They surely did.
