Hunger Games Movie Still 23Here is the new official trailer for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.”  As you probably know by now, it’s Hollywood’s new thing to split the last book in a series into two movies so they can double dip into that big golden money pot.  Or in the Hobbit’s case, make three movies from just one book, because as you know, that 20 -30 minute dinner scene in the first film was extremely important to the narrative as a whole.  Hmmmm!  I fell asleep in that film.

back-to-the-future-02“Back to the Future” is a time travel comedy that was directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by both him and Bob Gale. It was produced by Steven Spielberg and starred Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson. It was released theatrically July 3, 1985.

It was probably one of the most anticipated movies in film history. It was the concluding chapter in the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia (or so we thought at the time). And it definitely had a lot of threads to tie up from its previous chapter.

Batmobile Stolen/Recovered from Set of “Batman v Superman?

New BatmobileThere was a rumor going around the other day that the Batmobile was stolen from the set of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” currently filming in Detroit.  But after speaking with producers, police confirmed that no theft had occurred.  The Batmobile was safe and sound.  But then the below picture surfaced.

Avoiding the Water with the 1975 “Jaws” Press Kit

jaws1Based on Peter Benchley’s best-selling novel, “Jaws” was a 1975 film directed by Steven Spielberg and was considered to be one of the very first Blockbusters.

The story of the Killer Shark starred Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, and Murray Hamilton. The famous theme was composed by John Williams.  And the film was shot primarily on location on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.

Ease on Down the Road with 1978 “The Wiz” Souvenir Movie Book

Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” featured an all African-American cast starring the likes of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Richard Pryor, Lena Horne, Nipsey Russell, Mabel King, Ted Ross, Thelma Carpenter, and Therese Merritt. It was directed by Sidney Lumet with a screenplay by Joel Schumacher and was released theatrically in 1978.
