New Trailer for Ridley Scott’s “The Martian”

The Martian Title CardA new trailer has just been released for director Ridley Scott’s “The Martian.”  The film is based on the 2011 novel “The Martian” by Andy Weir.  

The film stars Matt Damon as a stranded astronaut on Mars, who finds himself having to use all of his skills to stay alive until rescue arrives.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” Deleted Scenes (Video)

Mad Max Fury Road Slider ImageI thought one of the more entertaining films this summer was “Mad Max: Fury Road.”  It’s certainly one of the best action films to have come along in a long time.  And the Blu-ray for the film hits shelves on September 1st. But some of the deleted scenes you’ll find on the disc have shown up early.  And you can find those below.

First Pic of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”


Star Wars The Force Awakens Title CardA behind the scenes pic has apparently leaked giving us our first look at Mark Hamill in the role that made him famous.  It seems that the circle is now complete as this older Luke Skywalker from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” appears to give off an Obi-Wan vibe.

Tarantino’s New “The Hateful Eight” Trailer Released! Plus Screenshots!

The Hateful Eight Title CardThe Weinstein Company has just released the trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s latest feature “The Hateful Eight.”

The film stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Zoë Bell, Michael Madsen, Demian Bichir, Bruce Dern, & Channing Tatum.

New Photos from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (Updated)

Kylo Ren and TroopersEntertainment Weekly has released some new photos from J.J. Abrams upcoming sci-fi/fantasy space sequel known as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”  Everyone’s new soon-to-be favorite villain Kylo Ren graces the cover of the magazine (its annual Fall Movie Preview).

Star Wars: The Force Awakens TV Spot – New Villains, Old Heroes (Joe-Made)

Older Luke Skywalker Star Wars Force AwakensSo I watched the international Korean TV spot for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” the other day.  Other than one new shot, it was pretty much the same ‘ol thing they’ve given us this past year. Not that it’s bad by any means, but it got me to thinking.  I feel that ultimately these spots are lacking a bit of energy and gusto.

New “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Television Spot

Star Wars The Force Awakens Title CardA new “Star Wars” TV spot has popped up for the upcoming December 18th sequel “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”  It’s an international promo and although most of the footage we’ve seen before, there is one new scene that appears at the beginning of this Korean spot.

Know It All Joe’s Mashup Friday (Calvin and Hobbes vs. Shatner’s Twilight Zone)

It’s been a while, but it’s time for another Calvin and Hobbes Mashup.  This time, Calvin and Hobbes torments William Shatner in the “Twilight Zone’s ‘Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.’”  I think Shatner may have been better off with the gremlin.
