J.K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson from Sam Raimi’s round of Spider-man films) was on Howard Stern’s Sirius Radio Show on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. At the end of the interview, Stern asked Simmons if he is going to do another Spider-man film. His answer… “I just heard that we… that that’s a possibility!” Stern then asked him if he would actually do it. “Absolutely” he replied.
I realize that there is talk of bringing Spider-man over to “Avengers: Infinity War,” the third (and fourth) in the Avengers film series. That is, if Marvel can work it out with Sony. But how cool would it be if instead of rebooting Spider-man once again, or bringing in Andrew Garfield’s Spider-man (or continuing it for that matter), they went back to Toby McGuire’s Spider-man incarnation. I can definitely jump on-board that.
But it is probably an unlikely scenario. It does make you wonder what J.K. Simmons meant by his comment, though. Could he just be talking about bringing his J. Jonah Jameson to the next Spider-man (or Avengers) film as sort of a reboot to his character (and not include the other actors from his incarnation)?
Makes you wonder. Have a listen for yourself.
