Bobby and Peter Farrelly are at it again!  They have sequelized “Dumber and Dumber.”  Why did it take them twenty years?  Who knows.  Maybe like George Lucas, they’ll make the excuse that they needed new technology to be invented so they could tell a good story.  Note to Lucas – you failed!  As for this film, we’ll see.  I realize there was a prequel back in ’03 (Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd) but that was apparently not done by the Farrelly’s. 

This film stars, once again, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as the title characters (though I don’t which is Dumb and which is Dumber).  I don’t remember the first film very well.  It’s been years since I’ve seen it.  So it probably didn’t make too much of an impression at the time, but it’s probably worth a revisit.  I say this mostly because I found the new trailer to be hilarious.  I wasn’t expecting much from it at all so it did take me by surprise.  Hopefully this isn’t going to be one of those trailers that contains all of the good jokes from the movie.  Did you hear that “A Million Ways to Die in the West?”  Save something for the film (though in this case, I don’t think it would have mattered).

And I just discovered there was a “Dumb and Dumber” cartoon series that aired on ABC from 1995 – 1996.  It lasted only 13 episodes.  It seems like they used to make a cartoon out of everything.  Since this property seems perfect for cartooning, I would have thought the series would have lasted longer.
