Jeff Bridges channeled his inner “Dude” as he threw out (actually bowled it) the first pitch at Friday’s Dodgers Game (Aug.1 , 2014).  He then proceeded to give it another go and pitched it the second time around. 

“The Dude”, of course, is a reference to the character he played in 1998 Coen Brothers feature film “The Big Lebowski.”  I’m not always big on sequels to films many years after the fact, but I would love to see the Coen’s and Bridges return to that character, even if it’s just for a cameo in another one of their films.

Bridges was at Dodger Stadium to promote his film “The Giver“ opening August 15, 2014.  The Dodgers were playing the Chicago Cubs.  The Cubs beat them 8-2.
