“Land of the Giants” premiered on ABC from September 22, 1968 to March 22, 1970. It was created and produced by Irwin Allen, who also created such classics as “The Time Tunnel”, “Lost in Space”, and “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.” A total of 51 episodes were produced in color at a record budget (at the time) of $250,000 per episode.

The show was about the crew and passengers of the spaceship Spindrift that crash landed on a strange planet where the alien humanoid inhabits were twelve times the size of normal humans.   The crew needed to avoid capture by ‘The Giants’ as they attempted to repair their spacecraft and return home to Earth.

Today I present two scripts from the second season of the show. They sort of go hand in hand.  I’ve also included the episodes themselves (found on Hulu) for comparison.

So let’s all jump on board and take a trip to the “Land of the Giants.”

Fitzhugh and Steve accidentally return to Earth in a space-time pod but end up in 1900 and must deal with hostile villagers.
