“Electra Woman and Dyna Girl” Returns!

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl Title Card“Electra Woman and Dyna Girl” was a female superhero program that was part of the Krofft Supershow back in the ‘70’s. It starred Diedra Hall as Electra Woman and Judy Strangis as her faithful sidekick Dyna Girl. When not fighting crime, they were known as Lori and Judy, magazine reporters. Essentially, the show was a take on the ‘60’s TV version of “Batman.”

“Star Wars Rebels” Season 2 Trailer

star-wars-rebelsToday came the second season trailer for “Star Wars Rebels.”  I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch the first season, even though I really enjoyed its predecessor “The Clone Wars” (which happened to be light years better than the live-action prequels).  But I decided to give it a fair shake.  And I loved it right out of the gate.  The stories are extremely well done and they came up with some really compelling characters.

Hamming It Up With “Mad Men’s” Pilot Episode Script (Downloadable)

Mad Men Title Card“Mad Men” premiered on July 19, 2007 and is one of those shows that you either love or bored to death by.  It’s not an action show or a comedy.  It’s a slow moving drama.  A period piece.  Basically a soap opera.  But not the kind of soap opera that spawns evil twins or visits that amnesia well.  It’s based in reality and portrays real people with real problems.  And since it’s based in the 60’s, it presents us with a bit of a history lesson on what those times looked liked and the struggles people had to endure when things were a bit more repressed (and smoked a whole lot more).

Pics from “The Flash” Finale (Spoilers)

The Flash TV Series Pic 36There is no question that the CW show “The Flash” has been hitting it out of the ballpark all season long.  It’s my personal new favorite show of the TV season.   And I think the reason for that is because they seemed to have found the right balance of ‘stand-along villain of the week’ and their compelling season long-arc.  Of course, add to that a mix of both good casting and great special effects.

New “Arrow” and “The Flash” Extended Previews plus Full PaleyFest Panels (Video)

Flash Arrow PicThe “Arrow” and “The Flash” did panels at this years PaleyFest in Los Angeles this past Saturday.  I’ve included both presentations below in case you missed the live streaming.  But what you won’t see in the panels are the sizzle reels with new scenes for upcoming episodes that the live audience got to see.

“The Simpsons” does “The Jetsons” Parody (with Screenshots)

THE SIMPSONS The Jetsons Parody Pic 3I know this is a little late, but on February 15 “The Simpsons” did a “Jetsons” parody right after their opening credits for the episode “My Fare Lady.”  Strangely, it was if they had two opening credit sequences. I would have made this their main one in a different episode.  But in any case, I found it very amusing.  I love the “Futurama” reference (with Bender) at the end.
